Play 36 holes with friends on a day of your choice. Raise vital funds and provide specialist dementia nursing support and advice for more families. Your support is life-changing. No one should have to face dementia alone.
"My mother-in-law was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2022 at the age of 81, and since then we’ve seen how dementia gradually takes hold from small memory lapses to now not always recognising who we are, though she still lights up when she sees us. Seeing the impact on our family is why I took part in The 36 Hole Golf Challenge last year and why I’d encourage others to sign up and get involved"
Ian Holt, organised The 36 Hole Challenge at his golf club in St Helen's

How do I pay in my offline fundraising?
If you’ve raised money on your online fundraising pages, these will be automatically directed to us - thank you!
If you’ve received cash donations you can send them to us safely and securely in the following ways:
1. Pay the donations onto your personal online fundraising page.
2. Send a cheque payable to Dementia UK using the Freepost envelope in your pack to:
Dementia UK,
7th Floor,
One Aldgate,
London
EC3N 1RE.
Please include a note with your contact details.
3. Call us on 0300 365 5500 to pay in your donations using a credit or debit card.
Please send in all donations within six weeks of your challenge.
Does my online donation go to Dementia UK?
Yes. Donations made through Funraisin – our secure online fundraising platform – are sent to Dementia UK.
Like most online donations, your donation is subject to a standard payment processing fee charged by our payment provider, Stripe. This fee is typically 1.4% of the donation + 25p per UK card transaction.
Dementia UK does not pay any platform fees for donations made through Funraisin. The platform is funded through the optional contributions that some donors choose to make.
Why am I being asked to add an optional contribution when donating?
When you donate through Funraisin, you will see the option to add a voluntary contribution alongside your donation.
This optional contribution helps cover the running costs of Funraisin, including payment technology, fraud protection, customer support, ongoing platform improvements and compliance. If you choose to contribute, you will help cover these costs so Funraisin can continue to provide a free fundraising platform for Dementia UK and other charities.
Do I have to pay the optional contribution?
No. The contribution is completely voluntary.
If you'd rather not add it, simply select ‘I don't wish to help cover costs’ during the donation process. Your donation will still be processed and sent to Dementia UK, and choosing not to contribute will not affect your donation or your fundraising experience.
Can I speak to someone regarding my fundraising plans?
We would love to hear from you and support you with your fundraising plans, please email golf@dementiauk.org and one of our regional fundraisers will be in touch to arrange a convenient time to talk to you.
